The nature of this war has always attracted interest due to its prolonged duration, high casualties, extensive use of both conventional and unconventional warfare methods (including chemical attacks), as well as its political and geopolitical consequences. This war has profoundly influenced the military strategies of both nations.<br /> In light of this, the aim of this research is to analyze the impact of the political-military experiences from the imposed war on the development of the defense strategy of the Islamic Republic. Specifically, the main question is: What impact did the political-military experiences of the imposed war have on the development of Iran&#039;s defense strategy?<br /> In response, it can be stated that these experiences led to the development of the Islamic Republic&#039;s defense strategy, which comprises seven components:<br /> 1. Culture of sacrifice, martyrdom, and resiliency<br /> 2. Popular mobilization<br /> 3. Military self-sufficiency<br /> 4. Missile deterrence<br /> 5. Resistance-oriented ideology<br /> 6. Asymmetric warfare<br /> 7. Laws of war based on Islamic teachings<br /> These components have been the cornerstone of the Islamic Republic&#039;s security and defense policy to date. This study analyzes the main topic using library and internet resources in a descriptive-analytical manner. جنگ ایران و عراق یکی از بزرگ‌ترین و طولانی‌ترین جنگ‌های متعارف قرن بیستم بود که تأثیرات عمیقی بر دکترین‌ها و راهبردهای نظامی- امنیتی دو کشور داشت و به‌دلیل طولانی‌مدت بودن، تلفات بالا، روش‌های جنگی متعارف و غیرمتعارف، پیامدهای سیاسی-ژئوپلیتیکی و همچنین تاثیر آن بر تکوین راهبرد دفاعی ایران، اهمیت ویژه‌ای دارد. برهمین اساس، هدف پژوهش واکاوی اثرگذاری تجربیات سیاسی-نظامی جنگ تحمیلی بر تکوین راهبرد دفاعی جمهوری اسلامی است. به صورت مشخص سؤال اصلی این است که تجربیات سیاسی-نظامی جنگ تحمیلی چه تأثیری برتکوین راهبرد دفاعی ایران (1359-1404) داشته است. در مقام پاسخ، باید گفت که تجربیات سیاسی-نظامی جنگ تحمیلی منجر به تکوین راهبرد دفاعی جمهوری اسلامی با هفت مؤلفه شامل 1. فرهنگ ایثار، شهادت‌ و پایداری، 2. بسیج مردمی، 3. خودکفایی نظامی،4. بازدارندگی موشکی، 5. ایده محور مقاومت، 6. جنگ نامتقارن و7. حقوق جنگ مبتنی بر تعالیم اسلامی شده و سرلوحه سیاستگذری امنیتی-دفاعی ایران تاکنون بوده است. این مطالعه با استفاده از منابع کتابخانه‌ای و اینترنتی به روش توصیفی- تحلیلی به واکاوی موضوع اصلی پژوهش پرداخته است.
