Abstract
Abstract
The aim of the research is to examine the relationship between the group behaviors of commanders and managers and the morale and motivation of the fighters. The importance of the research is in compiling and transferring the experiences of the Holy Defense to the next generations. The research method is as follows: in the first stage, the behavioral patterns of commanders and managers during the Holy Defense period were extracted. Then, the relationship between the group behavioral patterns of commanders and managers and the morale and motivation of the fighters was measured using the interpretive structural modeling method. The statistical population of the research was the commanders and managers during the Holy Defense period, and a sample of 13 commanders and managers of the IRGC during the Holy Defense period was selected through purposive sampling. The findings of the interpretive structural modeling indicate a direct relationship between the behavioral patterns of IRGC commanders and managers and the morale and motivation of the fighters, and an indirect relationship with the morale of the fighters through the mediation of the motivation variable. Based on the Micmac analysis to measure the influence and dependency of the patterns, none of the behavioral patterns were in the influence zone, and all four patterns of leadership, following, communication, and teamwork of commanders and managers were in the connection zone, which indicates the mutual effects of the behavioral patterns of commanders and managers on the morale and motivation of the warriors during the Holy Defense era.
